April	Oak Park Agency Fair-4/26/2012 Sarasota County School District hosts an annual county-wide Disability Service Agency Fair for families of students with disabilities at Oak Park School in Sarasota. A wide variety of agencies that provide services, activities and products for students with disabilities at all grade levels pre-kindergarten to adult are featured. Information provided to families include job coaching, recreation and leisure activities, respite care, financial advice, mental health support and medical services. The fair is open to families of disabled students who attend any public or private school in Sarasota County.
June	Ready, Set, Grow Fair The Ready, Set, Grow Fair held in Sarasota is a fun, educational fair geared to children aged 0-6 and their families. This even allows parents to gather educational resources while their children enjoy interactive activities, games and had their faces painted. The annual Fair is FREE and provides a safe, fun event for children and their families to learn about information regarding health, recreation, child development, nutrition, personal safety, preschool and kindergarten readiness. August	Manatee County Children’s Summit The Children's Summit is an annual event that is free to the public. The summit is the area’s largest expo for parents and children, with its mission to give families the chance to explore after-school, mentor and substance abuse prevention programs, along with myriad others available to them. Dates for the 2012 Summit are TBA soon.
September	FND Conference A one day conference will be hosted by FND to provide additional resources and information for parents, caregivers, and providers caring, educating, and advocating for children with disabilities and special needs. 	Holiday Wreath Sale For the past 14 years, Family Network has sold beautiful, live wreaths, trees and centerpieces to help provide funding to FND’s programs. The wreaths are made with the finest Minnesota Balsam Fir and are beautifully decorated and bagged for easy delivery. To learn more click here.
October	Hundsader’s Farms Game Booth Fundraising Event FND participates in this annual event for the purpose of raising much needed funds for FND’s programs and services. You can help by visiting and/or volunteering at the FND booth in the Children's Game Area at the 2012 Hundsader Farms Pumpkin Festival. November	Girls Just Want to Have Fun Fundraising Event Calling all girls! During the month of November of 2012 (dates TBD), FND will be hosting its second Girls Just Want to Have Fun event. Sure to put a smile on your face and a spring in your step, this fabulous event won't disappoint! Proceeds from this event will benefit FND and Moms Away™!
December	Mom’s Away™! Moms Away!™, is a 24-hour retreat that gives mothers of children with disabilities and special needs a chance to relax, refresh, and rejuvenate. To learn more about this retreat click here
